Generally, this form of modelling is thought of as being the basis for Fine Art Photography - however, it can also encompass the work carried out to form the basis of Fine Art Drawings , Painting & Sculpture.
The demands on the model differ markedly though as for photography, the model is able to adopt far more (short lived) dynamic / extreme poses than for the much more time demanding Drawing, Painting & Sculpture.
However, all require the model to have an intimate knowledge of their body and the ability to deliver relevant, dynamic and interesting poses of suitable duration for the artist. - Some photographic techniques demanding poses be held for a number of minutes, rather than the usual 1/4 to 1/125th of a second.
